The highly specialised nature of Wintringham’s work with elderly homeless men and women make it unique in the Australian aged care system. Acknowledging that for homeless people there is an essential linkage between housing and aged care services, Wintringham has consistently maintained the position that elderly homeless people are entitled to receive the same standards of care that the rest of the aged community sees as their right.
