What's better than winning the Big Issue Women's Street Soccer Tournament?  Being honoured with the ‘Fairplay’ award of course!

The good folk at Big Issue once again championed the 2016 Women’s Street Soccer tournament at the North Melbourne Community Centre.  This year five agencies mounted crack teams – Wintringham, Wombat Housing, Co-Health, Inner Melbourne Community Legal Centre and McAuley House.

Congratulations to the Legal Eagles that took the winning trophy, however it was all smiles and a bit of Queen’s, we are the champions blaring at Camp Wintringham who were honoured with the ‘Fairplay’ cup.

Hats off to the women from Ebsworth house, Debbie and Linda, who trekked over to join the team, and a big thanks to Sharon who was the Street Soccer captain for Wintringham.

Fairplay team – (top row) Fiona, Sue, Debbie, Linda, Bec and Julia

(lower) Sharon, Holly and Emillie

(absent) Jodie - who was collecting the kids when the award was announced.
