Wintringham’s latest refurbishment in Park Street Geelong is an award winner!

At the recent Master Builders Association of Victoria's Regional Building Awards, Rendine Constructions was awarded ‘Best Multi-Unit Development’ for multi-unit and integrated housing developments in the 4-12 unit development category (South West Region).

The multi-award winning builder undertook the redevelopment of the Alexander Miller homes and site located in Park Street Geelong.

“The award recognises Wintringham’s commitment to bring heritage buildings into the 21st century,” said General Manager Michael Thornton.

For Michael, this award was particularly sentimental. “It is great to be recognised for delivering a project that continues the remarkable legacy of Alexander Miller. To think one hundred years after his death, his estate is still providing housing for people who need it,” he said.

Proud of the team working on the project, he added: “Awards like these give client, builder and architect a moment to reflect on a successful project.”

“Working with old buildings always provides challenges, but when old and new come together successfully, great projects result. These buildings have been providing homes for people since 1921 and this work means that will continue. Residents now have beautiful historic homes with modern light filled internals and landscaped gardens,” Michael said.

Congratulations Rendine Constructions Project Manager Karl Blakebrough, Site Manager Brent Jenkins and Architect Allen Kong (pictured left to right).

And well done to our Property Services and Asset Manager Ian, and his team, for facilitating the works on such a successful project.
