Four years after opening its doors, Wintringham’s Audrey Rainsford Supportive Housing in Carlton continues to demonstrate the impact of combining permanent housing with integrated support for older people who have experienced homelessness.
Residents from four Wintringham Residential Aged Care homes recently enjoyed a memorable holiday on the Gold Coast, bringing together adventure, connection and plenty of special moments.
In response to the aged care reforms, and the introduction of the Support at Home program, Wintringham strengthened its social work services to ensure clients continue to receive support with the complex issues that affect their wellbeing and independence.
Earlier this year, Wintringham introduced a central phone line for all Home Support services, providing a single point of contact for clients, families, service partners and suppliers.
Each July, Wintringham comes together to recognise staff who have been part of our organisation for 20 years or more.
Wintringham is proud to celebrate the creativity and talent of our clients through ArtSpace 2026, our online exhibition. Held alongside Homelessness Week (3-9 August), ArtSpace is an annual initiative that gives Wintringham clients the opportunity to submit artworks for selection in our calendar and greeting cards.
The 13th annual exhibition is back in-person, and will showcase more than 100 artworks created by talented Wintringham clients across Victoria and Tasmania at Schoolhouse Studios from 4 - 14 August, coinciding with Homelessness Week (3 - 9 August).
The festive season arrived a little early at Wintringham, with Christmas in July celebrations bringing clients and residents together for a day of fun, food and connection.
Wintringham was pleased to welcome the Hon. Sam Rae MP, Minister for Aged Care and Seniors of Australia, and Maribyrnong MP Jo Briskey for a recent visit to Patrick Walsh housing site and McLean Lodge.
Wintringham’s Annual Review 2024–25 is out now, highlighting a milestone year of change and achievement. The Review reflects on the retirement of Founder and CEO Bryan Lipmann AM after 36 years, and welcomes Jane Barnes as Wintringham’s second CEO.
This Australia Day was a particularly special one for all of us at Wintringham, as our Founder Bryan Lipmann AM who was named the Victorian Senior Australian of the Year for 2026 in November last year, was in the running to be Senior Australian of the Year.
Wintringham is proud to have received Care Leaver Specialisation Verification, becoming the first aged care provider in Australia to achieve this certification.
