Affordable Housing in Metropolitan Melbourne
Wintringham Housing is a not-for-profit Housing Association.
We are dedicated to providing safe and affordable housing to older women and men who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
Wintringham Housing was established in 2008 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wintringham. In 2009, it became a registered Housing Association with the Victorian State Government.
Wintringham Housing partners with Wintringham to provide an extensive range of safe, secure and affordable housing and care options which allow people to exercise control over their lives and maintain their chosen lifestyle.
Where is the housing?

Who is eligible?
Men and women over the age of 50 who are homeless or living in insecure accommodation or who are financially disadvantaged are eligible. Applicants for our housing must meet Office of Housing eligibility criteria. We maintain a Housing Register. When vacancies occur, housing is allocated on need rather than length of time since applying.
Is it permanent?
Yes, all tenants are offered a lease in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act.
Is support available if I need it?
Yes, through our partnership with Wintringham, a range of care and support services may be available to enable you to remain living in the community. We will do our best to help you live happily in your new home.
What does it cost?
The rental charge is usually in accordance with public housing rental policies, but it may vary depending on the type of accommodation available. There will also be a small service charge applicable. If you choose, Wintringham Housing can assist you to have your rent automatically deducted.
Please note: applicants must be over 50 years of age and meet the same financial criteria as the Victorian Office of Housing
