The construction of 28 new independent living units and a new 20-bed residential aged care home in Wyndham Street Shepparton is coming along nicely and is scheduled to be completed in November this year. Funding for the units comes from the Victorian State Government, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) Victorian Branch, the Ian Potter Foundation and the John T Reid Charitable Trust. While funding for construction of the residential aged care home comes from the Federal Government.
The new homes will be allocated to people aged 50 and over who have experienced or are vulnerable to homelessness. For the units, priority will be given to those who have experienced family violence.

Tasmania
Bellerive (Bellerive)
In what will be our first residential aged care home interstate, this home is being built by the Tasmanian Government to Wintringham standards, with completion expected by late August this year. Our CEO Bryan recently toured the construction of the 40-bed site with Tasmanian Housing Minister the Hon. Michael Ferguson MP. New social housing units have also recently been built at the same site, in Bellerive (near Hobart).
“We’ve been operating in Tasmania for almost a year now, by supporting residents living in various social housing sites across Hobart. So now, we’re excited to begin this new chapter in Tassie, by caring for some of the most vulnerable members of our community who require residential aged care,” says Bryan.
“We’re proud of this excellent partnership and we can’t wait to start making a difference in people’s lives.”
Due for completion in Q3 2022.
