Art Space 2022 is here

by Comms Team

The 2022 Art Space is Officially open! This show is proudly presented by Wintringham. This online art exhibition features client artworks, and will be available for viewing from Monday, 1 August which coincides with National Homelessness Week.

Each year our clients work hard to paint, draw, sculpt, craft and write. Their favourite pieces are submitted into the art show with the support of various Wintringham teams.

Artworks have been reviewed by a panel of judges – comprising Lyndy and Lucinda White (from the Peter and Lyndy White Foundation), Artist and Wintringham Volunteer Dot Lipmann AM and Wintringham Board Member Jane Boag. A total of 16 artworks have been selected to appear in the 2023 Wintringham calendar and on this year’s festive Christmas cards.

See the selected 16 artworks, by watching the Official Opening video here!

The public are invited to purchase their favourite pieces for sale – be quick, as these are all one-off pieces created by people who may have experienced, or been at risk of homelessness. All you need to do is go to the website art.wintringham.org.au, have a look at the artworks, select your favourite on the website and follow the steps for purchasing. A current credit card will be required for purchase.

In addition, by popular demand, our People’s Choice Award returns this year – proudly sponsored by Melbourne Artist’s Supplies.

We ask all visitors to our website to take a look and vote for their favourite artworks, as two artists and one voter will be in the running to win:

  • 1x $200 Melbourne Artists’ Supplies voucher for the People’s Choice winner (artist)
  • 1x $150 Melbourne Artists’ Supplies voucher for the runner-up (artist)
  • 1x $150 Melbourne Artists’ Supplies voucher for a random voter

Voting for the People’s Choice Awards will only be open for one week, from 1–7 August, also during Homelessness Week. So don't forget to vote!

Celebrating amazing people and their amazing talents!
