Wintringham has expanded its housing and homelessness services in Northern Tasmania, now providing tenancy management and on-site housing support for 34 homes across three sites in Devonport.
Delivered in partnership with Homes Tasmania, the expansion includes 13 units in Gunn Street, 12 units in North Fenton Street and nine units in George Street. Residents are supported through a combination of tenancy management and person-centred housing support designed to help them maintain stable housing and remain connected to their community.
The milestone was officially marked with an afternoon tea at the North Fenton Street site. The event brought together residents from all three properties, alongside Tasmania's Minister for Housing, Planning and Consumer Affairs, Kerry Vincent MLC, Homes Tasmania representatives, Wintringham CEO Jane Barnes and staff. It provided an opportunity for tenants to connect with the team supporting them in their homes and celebrate the beginning of this new chapter.
The additional properties represent an important step in the growth of Wintringham's services in Northern Tasmania, strengthening our ability to support older people with housing needs across the region.
By expanding our presence in Devonport, Wintringham is continuing to work alongside local partners to provide safe housing and tailored support for older Tasmanians.
