McLean Lodge Volunteer Luis is nominated for Council to Homeless Persons Award.  This nomination celebrates the exceptional work of Luis, and his dedication to the residents and of course to Stella the dog.  He visits the residents weekly and takes Stella for 'treks' says resident Val, rather than walks.  He plays cards, chess and pool and when the weather is nice he'll often take the residents for outings.  Having walked a rough road himself in life, he says "its beautiful for me to hear, Luis, you have made me feel happy today."

Other nominees for the awards are Alice Rota-Bartelink for her contribution to Research, and Gayle Reeve for outstanding practitioner award.  Winners will be announced at the CHP conference later this year.
