Gerard Mansour is the Commissioner for Senior Victorians. He has produced a report for the Minister for Housing, Disability and Ageing, Martin Foley MP called, "Ageing is everyone's business: social isolation and loneliness among senior Victorians."

It is a comprehensive review that establishes the evidence base for isolation and loneliness for senior Victorians; identifies the causes and drivers of isolation and loneliness; identifies the major impacts of isolation and loneliness on the health, wellbeing and quality of life of senior Victorians; considers the impacts of disadvantage and vulnerability on the incidence and consequence of isolation and loneliness for senior Victorians; examines the role of volunteering, both in supporting and empowering isolated and lonely senior Victorians, and identifies potential policy and program responses to mitigate the negative impacts of isolation and loneliness.

It is an excellent report, well worth reading. You can find it here - Commissioner for Senior Victorians

Gerard Mansour is on the Boards of Wintringham and Wintringham Housing.
