Message from Gerard Mansour PSM FGIA, President Wintringham

The Board of Wintringham is delighted to announce that, following a robust recruitment process, our own Jane Barnes, Chief of Staff at Wintringham has accepted the offer to be Wintringham’s CEO effective from 21 July 2025, when Bryan Lipmann AM will finish his long standing role as CEO the day prior. The Board is in the process of making arrangements to acknowledge Bryan’s amazing legacy and recognise his significant contribution to the community as Founder of Wintringham.

Jane is extremely well placed to lead Wintringham into its next phase. She has walked beside Bryan for many years, and truly embraces Wintringham’s values, commitment to homelessness & aged care services and social justice.

Her role as Chief of Staff has given her insight to the broad context in which Wintringham operates and exposure to key stakeholders. Her experience in previous leadership and management roles will be most valuable in driving actions to deliver the significant program of work outlined in the 2025- 2028 Strategic Plan. And most importantly, Jane is committed to the people we serve.

Jane will be working with Bryan and the Board between now and the formal handover of accountability to ensure a smooth transition.

Please join with me and the Board in congratulating Jane on her appointment.

Quote from Jane Barnes:

“I’m passionate about continuing the important work of Wintringham, advocating for and empowering older people to live their best life.”

“This is an exciting opportunity for me, and I look forward to leading our team and working with key stakeholders to further embed Wintringham as a trusted not-for-profit homelessness organisation with values, rights and dignity at the centre of all we do.”
