Following a community consultation process, Wintringham has now received Town Planning approval from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) to begin construction of the Patricia Larkin community housing in Golden Square Bendigo, in late February 2022.

In partnership with the State Government of Victoria, and with sincere thanks to the Peter & Lyndy White Foundation for their generous support, Wintringham will build a social housing development for older people who are vulnerable to homelessness.

Builder HDP has also recently been appointed to commence construction of the 35 one-bedroom units, 28 car parking spaces, one ancillary administration building, and a communal garden and activity room for tenants.

“The design process was collaborative with local community members, City of Greater Bendigo and Homes Victoria all contributing to the final design. We are thrilled with the outcome,” says Michael Deschepper, Wintringham Acting CEO.

“We look forward to welcoming residents once construction is complete, in early 2023.”
